Title:
CLEANING NONWOVEN FABRIC AND ITS PRODUCTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3967848
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cleaning nonwoven fabric capable of easily wiping off solid or tacky deposits on the surface to be cleaned without damaging the surface and having high ability to scavenge any dirts, and to provide a method for producing the above fabric.
SOLUTION: This cleaning nonwoven fabric 1 is obtained by the following process: at least one side of a 1st fibrous layer comprising heat-shrinkable fibers is laminated with a 2nd fibrous layer comprising non-heat-shrinkable fibers; the resulting laminate is subjected to a high-pressure fluid jet against the 2nd fibrous layer side to form a nonwoven fabric with the fibers intermingled together; the nonwoven fabric is then subjected to hot press treatment with a hot-embossing roll to effect partial hot-pressure bonding of both the fibrous layers along with heat shrinkage of the heat-shrinkable fibers, thus forming hot-pressure bonded parts 2 where the fibers are thermobonded together to effect increase in the thickness of non-hot-pressure bonded parts 3 where the constituent fibers look as if they are raised loop-fashion.
