Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve service life and durability by incorporating cobalt oxide, copper oxide, manganese oxide, molybdenum oxide, alkali metal oxides and a (poly)phosphoric acid or it salt, and further incorporating crushed product of the cobalt catalyst preveously molded and calcinated.

CONSTITUTION: The cobalt catalyst contains 35-98 wt.% calcinated unreduced cobalt oxide, 0-40 wt.% copper oxide, 0-20 wt.% manganese oxide, 0-10 wt.% molybdenum oxide, 0-10 wt.% alkali metal oxides, 0-15 wt.% (poly)phosphoric acid or its salt and, optionally, a filler. A molding material consisting of 5-100 wt.% crushed product of the cobalt catalyst preveously molded and calcinated and 95-0 wt.% precipitated, dried and calcinated precipitate is molded, dried and calcinated. The cobalt catalyst has improved service life and durability.
