PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a colored resin composition which enables the production of a red color filter having excellent contrast and heat resistance, and a color filter produced using the same.SOLUTION: This invention provides a colored resin composition for color filters comprising a methine compound represented by the formula (1), a binder resin, a curing agent and a photopolymerization initiator and/or a curing accelerator.
