Abstract:
To provide a method for increasing cholesterol efflux from the cells of a mammalian animal and a method for identifying a gene becoming a cause of an inherited abnormality.
The method for increasing the cholesterol efflux comprises administering an eicosanoide represented by prostaglandin E2, prostacyclin and prostaglandin J2, to the mammalian animal for increasing the cholesterol efflux. Each of labeled cDNAs is prepared from normal RNAs and abnormal RNAs, further a gene-expressing array is probed and the variations in gene expressions among each of the RNAs are identified.
