PURPOSE: To obtain a conjugated yarn having excellent dyeing property and soft touch feeling as well as good higher processability.
CONSTITUTION: This conjugated yarn is formed by using a polyester filament drawn yarn having 100×10-3 to 160×10-3 poise double refractive index as a core yarn 1 and a highly oriented undrawn yarn (pay) of a polyester filament as a sheath yarn 2, respectively and introducing the core yarn 1 and the sheath yarn 2 through core-yarn feed rollers 3 and 2' and a sheath yarn feed rollers 4 and 4', respectively, into an air turbulence processing device 5 to carry out interlacing treatment and guiding the treated yarn through a pair of delivery rollers 6 and 6 into a heat-treating heater 7 and carrying out heat treatment of the yarn at ≥170°C and a temperature lower than the melting point and in the condition range satisfying the formula 0.5≤ stretched feed ratio of a yarn in heat treatment/over feed ratio of the core yarn in air turbulence processing ≤1.0. In the conjugated yarn, the average of loop number projected by ≥0.7mm longer than yarn surface is <1/(m) and average boiling water shrinkage ratio X has a proper boiling water shrinkage satisfying the formula 5≤X≤4 and dispersion.
