To provide a connector capable of obtaining connection between grounding terminals from the initial stage of fitting, preventing the occurrence of a loop circuit, and suppressing the generation of noises.

The connector comprises a three pole plug part 2 and a terminal part 3 for a power source. Two electrodes 5, 6 at the base end part side of the three pole plug part 2 are of vertical split type, with one 6 being a grounding electrode. The two vertically split electrodes 5, 6 are formed so that the electrode to abut the periphery surface of the plug in the insertion direction is not changed. Accordingly, only the electrode 6 out of the two vertically split electrodes always abuts the associated contact when the plug is inserted into a jack 8.
