Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize high stability, reproducibility and reliability for a long time of a contact combustion gas sensor by achieving a stress breaking resistance of a heat transfer layer to a thermal stress, an effective expansion of the surface area of the layer and a resistance to the pollution of the surface thereof.
SOLUTION: This gas sensor has a heater 18 which is formed on a diaphragm 122 to promote the combustion of a combustible gas, a gas detector 30 which has a porous anodic oxide film 22 as highly heat conducting body provided in thermal contact with the heater 18 and a catalyst layer 24 which generates heat according to a heating value of the heater 18 transferred through the porous anodic oxide film 22 to act as catalyst for the combustion of the combustible gas and compensation elements 321, 322 and 323 which each have the heater 18 formed on the diaphragm 122 adjacent to the gas detector 30 to promote the combustion of the combustible gas and the porous anodic oxide film 22 as highly heat conducting body provided in thermal contact with the heater 18.
