Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container for housing precision members made of polycarbonate resin compounds which have less volatile Cl when retained in a normal temperature and have a stable quality.
SOLUTION: This container for housing precision members is made of a resin compound composed of polycarbonate resin and epoxy compound as a base material. Especially, the resin compound is dried until the water-absorptive ratio of the compound is reduced to 0.05 wt.% or smaller and put into a glass tube and sealed at a pressure of 1 mm Hg or lower. Thereafter, it is heated at 280°C for 30 min and then cooled down to 23°C. After that, the quantity of Cl-ion which volatilizes to the gas phase in the sealed glass tube while it is left at a normal temperature (23°C) for three days is 15 ppb or smaller.
