To provide a container with a handle in which a handle member is integrated with the bottom of a container body, the container having a structure securely integrating the handle member with the container body by a relatively simple configuration, and also to provide a manufacturing method therefor.

A recess 13 is formed in the bottom 12 of the container body 1 formed from a biaxial stretching blow molding body. The container has a handle member 2 integrally formed in the recess 13 by insert molding. Formed through a close-contact part where the handle member 2 is in close contact with the recess 13 of the container body 1 is a hole 21b extending in the direction of the central axis of the container body 1. The handle member 2 is integrated with the container body 1 so that a resin forming the container body 1 incorporates both the inside circumference part of the hole 21b and the outside circumference part of the close contact part. Such a structure prevents the handle member 2 from being detached from the container body 1. In addition, the hole 21b prevents the pressing force of the stretching rod from acting on the handle member 2 during the biaxial stretching blow molding process.
