Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for variable speed at power source failure for preventing a hybrid transmission from becoming unable to output power, even if a power source of an engine and motor/generators causes failure.
SOLUTION: When the failure is caused in HEV travel using the engine ENG, determination is made on whether the ENG is faulty or the motor/generators MG1 and MG2 are faulty in S4. When the MG1 and MG2 are faulty, output is secured by ENG motive power, the first speed fixed change gear ratio (1st), the second speed fixed change gear ratio (2nd) or the third speed fixed change gear ratio (3rd) in S5. When the ENG is faulty, an engine clutch Cin is released in S6, and the output is secured by power from the MG1 or the MG2, 1st, 2nd or 3rd.
