Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently obtain regenerative power without greatly loosing balance between braking torque on front wheels and braking torque on rear wheels during regenerative braking wherein braking torque is supplied by regeneratively operating motor-generators in response to a deceleration request.
SOLUTION: An ideal fractional rate between front and rear wheels is computed with respect to braking torque on front wheels and braking torque on rear wheels. At the same time, tolerances on allocation are computed for the ideal fractional rate between front and rear wheels (a7). Within the tolerances on allocation, the ideal fractional rate between front and rear wheels is corrected so as to enhance the generation efficiencies of a first motor-generator (motor A) connected with the rear wheels and a second motor-generator (motor B) connected with the front wheels. Based on the obtained fractional rate between front and rear wheels, torque command values for the motor-generators are computed (a8).
