Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the maintainability and to utilize a dead volume effectively by splitting a thermostat case vertically into two, then connecting a bypath and a return path of a heater to the upper case while an output path of a radiator to the lower case. CONSTITUTION:A water pump body 13 is formed integrally with a block 12 on the side of the front endface 12a of a cylinder block 12. A thermostat case 25 is fixed to a dead volume in the rear of a water pump 7 and in the direction of the extended axis of the inlet. A bypath 9 and a return path 11 of a heater are connected to the upper case 17 of the thermostat case 25 while an outlet hose 8 is connected to the lower case 28 and a thermostat is contained in said cases 27, 28.
