Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a copolymer latex which is excellent in resistances to oil and chemicals, has a soft hand, and is suitable for a dip-molded article, etc.
CONSTITUTION: A vinyl cyanide monomer (e.g. acrylonitrile) and a conjugated diene (e.g. butadiene) are subjected to emulsion polymn. in the presence of a polyhydroxy compd. An ethylenically unsatd. carboxylic acid [e.g. (meth) acrylic acid] may be added to the polymn. system to stabilize the resulting copolymer latex.
