Title:
CORRECTING SYSTEM OF VIDEO SIGNAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS60220684
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a reproduced image having high S/N and high definition, by adding signals having bi-directional overshoot and preshoot to video signals and making recording when the level of the video signals changes.

CONSTITUTION: Differentiation circuits 10 and 11 at the recording side differentiate inputted signals and a non-linear circuit 14 non-linearly changes the amlification degree of the inputted signals in accordance with their signal levels. Moreover, differentiation circuits 30 and 31 at the reproducing side differentiate inputted signals and a non-linear circuit 34 lowers the high-frequency component of video signals and, when the level of the video signals is low, performs de- emphasis operations, such as enlarging the degree of attenuation of the high- frequency component, etc. Since overshoot and preshoot are added to thus reproduced video signals before recording, reproduced videos having high S/N and definition can be obtained even after the noise component is cut off.
