To provide a crawler type dump vehicle capable of preventing the penetration of earth and sand into a crawler device in rear body dumping and reducing the wear of each part of the crawler device.
In a crawler type dump vehicle 10 having a load carrying- platform 6 capable of dumping on the upper part of a lower structure 1 having runnable crawler devices, a mud guard plate 23 is provided on the lower endmost part of the load carrying-platform 6 in such a manner as to be suspended near the end parts of crawler devices 13L, 13R, 15L, 15R in the maximum dumping position of the load carrying-platform. The load carrying-platform 6 may be provided on the upper part of a superstructure 3 provided rotatable on the lower structure 1. The crawler devices 13L, 13R, 15L, 15R may be provided as lateral pairs in the front and rear, respectively. The mudguard plate 23 preferably has a prescribed length (h as covers the end parts of the crawler devices 13L, 13R, 15L, and 15R in maximum dumping.
