Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting method capable of maintaining the quality of a finished article even when cutting a workpiece including a ductile material.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for cutting a workpiece (11) including a ductile material by a cutting blade (44) bonding an abrasive grain using a bond material. The method comprises a cutting step of cutting in the workpiece using the rotating cutting blade and moving the workpiece relatively with respect to the cutting blade to cut the workpiece. During at least operation of the cutting step, the adherence of the workpiece to the cutting blade is prevented by contacting a coating material (76) to the rotating cutting blade and by coating the cutting blade with the coating material.
