Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the title copolymer having excellent thermal and mechanical characteristics by selecting the copolymer having structural units derived from a cyclic conjugatd diene, specific polymer chains, and a specified number average mol.wt.
CONSTITUTION: This copolymer has a number average mol.wt. of 25,000-5,000,000 and is represented by the compsn. formula [wherein A is derived from at least one cyclic conjugated diene (e.g. 1,3-cyclohexadiene); B is derived from at least one linear conjugated diene (e.g. isoprene); C is derived from at least one arom. vinyl monomer (e.g. styrene); D is derived from at least one polar monomer (e.g. methyl methacrylate); E is derived from at least one monomer selected from ethylene and α-olefins; l to p are each indicate the wt.% of each structural unit provided l+m+n+o+p=100, 0.5≤l<100, 0≤m, n, o, or p<100, and 0<m+n+o+p<100].
