A data conversion apparatus is characterized by including an image recognition section for recognizing individual images in a page represented by a page description language; an image analyzing section for applying prescribed image analysis to individual images recognized by the image recognition section; an image correction section for applying image correction processing to the individual images according to an analysis result analyzed by the image analyzing section; and an after correction-data creating section that creates raster data representative of the page of which images are subjected to the image correction processing. A so-called RIP includes therein an automatic setup function for analyzing each image in a page and applying image correction to the image thereby allowing an output image from being created at a high speed without the need for complicated works.
