Title:
DATA TRANSMISSION ERROR MONITORING SYSTEM, DATA TRANSMITTER, DATA RECEIVER AND DATA TRANSMISSION ERROR MONITORING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3497435
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect continuous bit errors and further easily detect the presence/ absence of error occurrence in each repeat section.
SOLUTION: In a data transmitter 11, continuous data streams are divided into n' pieces of data sequences and respective parities are counted by a parity counter 2. Then, these count values are converted to the parity code word of (m) bits by an encoder 3, according to n' B/mB code conversion rules, and the idle set of continuous data streams is replaced with a parity set containing the parity code words from the encoder 3 by a replacer 4 and transmitted. In a data receiver 13, the respective parity count values are restored by a decoder 7 from the parity set detected, from the received continuous data streams by a detector 6, the continuous data streams are divided into n' data sequences, parities are counted for each of data sequences by a parity counter 8 while excluding the parity set, and the outputs of the decoder 7 and the parity counter 8 are compared by a comparator 9.
