Title:
DEVICE FOR SEPARATING FLUIDIZED SOLID SUSPENDED IN GASEOUS PHASE AND METHOD FOR SEPARATING SOLID ACCOMPANIED FROM GASEOUS PHASE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3348874
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To increase acceleration of flow of a gaseous mixture guided in a cyclone from a riser while smoothly changing the flow in a fluidized catalytic cracking apparatus.
CONSTITUTION: A riser 20 is generally vertically positioned within a catalyst disengaging zone. The riser 20 has a plurality of openings 22 around the circumference of its discharge end. The openings 22 in the riser 20 have a vertical stub portion that extends tangentially outward from the riser 20, communicates with a first end of an upwardly sloping curvilinear tunnel 50 and terminates at a second end. The second end of the tunnel 50 opens into a tangential opening in a primary cyclone 30. Area of the opening of the first end of the tunnel 50 is larger than area of the opening of the second end of the tunnel 50.
