Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the effect by the cogging torque generated in an electrode motor by a motor current control means by running the motor current in the electric motor based on the motor current command value comprising the steering torque differential command value and the basic assist command value.
SOLUTION: A steering torque differential command value circuit 12 is provided on a controller C, the steering torque differential command value circuit 12 differentiates the steering torque signal detected by a steering torque sensor 8, and the steering torque signal is differentiated to determine the steering torque differential command value. The determined steering torque differential command value is added to the basic assist command value determined by a basic assist command value determination circuit 10 according to the steering torque, and the added value is transmitted to a control circuit 11. The motor current control circuit 11 runs the motor current in an electric motor 6 based on the steering torque differential command value and the basic assist command value.
