To provide easy-to-use electronic equipment which eliminates the need to adjust the luminance of a back light even when a user rotates a liquid crystal display device on an electronic equipment main body to change the angle at which the liquid crystal display device is viewed.

The electronic equipment having the liquid crystal display device constituted including a liquid crystal panel and the back light irradiating the liquid crystal panel with light from its back, the electronic equipment being equipped with an angle varying means of varying the angle between the liquid crystal display device and electronic equipment main body and a luminance control means of varying the luminance of the back light according to the angle between the liquid crystal display device and electronic equipment main body which is varied by the angle varying means.
