Title:
ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC PHOTORECEPTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3648380
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electrophotographic photoreceptor having high sensitivity and high durability by using an aromatic polycarbonate resin having a charge transfer function.
SOLUTION: A photosensitive layer containing an aromatic polycarbonate resin having a structural unit expressed by the formula as the effective component is formed on a conductive supporting body. In the formula, R1 is a hydrogen atom, substd. or unsubstd. alkyl group or substd. or unsubstd. aryl group, Ar1 is a substd. or unsubstd. aryl group, Ar2, Ar3 are substd. or unsubstd. allylene groups. The polycarbonate resin has a high charge transfer function and high mechanical strength so that the obtd. photoreceptor has high sensitivity and high durability. By depositing a charge generating layer containing a phthalocyanine pigment, a photoreceptor with higher sensitivity can be obtd.
