Title:
ENDOSCOPE SHAPE-DETECTING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3923839
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope shape-detecting device which can detect an endoscope insertion shape by a positional detection for coils while not being restricted by the number of coils which can be driven.
SOLUTION: Coils C1 to C3 which are arranged in the insertion part of an endoscope are divided into groups A, B and C of each ten pieces. Then, timing circuits P1 to P30 which are respectively connected with ten oscillators O1 to O10 having different oscillation frequencies are intermittently turned on by ten at one time, i.e., such as by timing circuits P1 to P10, P11 to P20, P21 to P30 and so forth by coil driving timing signals INTMT01 to 30 from a control circuit 51, and the coils C1 to C10, C11 to C20, C21 to C30 belonging to the respective groups A, B and C are intermittently driven in order. Thus, this endoscope shape-detecting device can cope with a situation even when the number of the coils is large.
