To provide a film processing apparatus capable of automatically carrying a succeeding developed film to a film scanner and applying scan processing to the film when a principal scan processing time applied to a developed photo film takes a longer time than a prescribed processing time due to a prescribed reason.
In the film processing apparatus FA provided with a film processor FP, a film scanner FS, and a carrying unit FC, the film scanner FS includes: a preliminary scan analysis means 101 for analyzing preliminary scan of the photo films, and a control means 25 for discharging a photo film to a container means 18 from the film scanner as its control without executing principal scan when a result of the analysis discriminates that the end time of the principal scan exceeds a prescribed time interval, and a carrying control section 70 is characterized in to control the photo film carried next to be carried to the film scanner FS.
