Abstract:
To provide a configuration that can prevent the occurrence of fixing failure even if the heat capacity of a heating roller unit 500 is asymmetric with respect to a width direction.SOLUTION: A heating roller unit 500 has a heating roller 340 that is in contact with a fixing belt along a fixing belt width direction, and a gear 345 that is provided at one end in the width direction of the heating roller 340, to which the drive from a motor M1 is transmitted, and rotates with the heating roller 340. Halogen heaters 341, 342, 343 are arranged along the width direction and heat the heating roller 340. The distribution of output with respect to the width direction of the halogen heaters 341, 342, 343 is asymmetric with the center A in the width direction of the heating roller 340 as an original point, and output from a first area on one end side in the width direction with respect to the center in the width direction A is larger than output from a second area on the other end side in the width direction with respect to the center in the width direction A.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
