Abstract:
To provide a flange of a new structure and a cutting method for making it possible to shorten a time for washing that is carried out to remove cutting chips and burrs.SOLUTION: Recessed spaces 57A, 54A are formed along a circumferential direction in front of and behind, respectively, in an axial direction of a cutting blade 51. During a cutting process of a workpiece W, a cutting liquid 39 supplied from a cutting liquid supply nozzle (a shower nozzle 38) to an outer peripheral part of the cutting blade 51 enters the recessed spaces 57A, 54A, is then repelled by outer peripheral surfaces 57d, 54d, and supplied toward a cutting area of an upper surface Wa of the workpiece W. Thus, the cutting fluid 39 can be efficiently caused to flow against a burr 31 of an electrode 30 caused due to the cutting process, and the burr 31 can be separated and removed from the upper surface Wa of the workpiece W.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
