PURPOSE: To simplify a manufacturing process, by forming a conductive film to support in a predetermined pattern and subsequently applying pigment onto the conductive film at a predetermined position by electrophoretic deposition in a pigment dispersion to form a transparent color image.
CONSTITUTION: At first, a transparent conductive film is laminated onto a transparent support in a thickness of 0.05W25μm by a film forming method such as vapor deposition method or a sputtering method and subsequently patterned according to a usual method. Next, the transparent support provided with the patterned transparent conductive film is immersed in a pigment dispersion and pigment is electrodeposited on the patterned transparent conductive film to form a transparent color image. The above mentioned pigment pref. has particle size distribution such that a particle with a particle size of 1μm or more is 10% or less by wt. of a total pigment particle, pref., 5wt% or less, more pref. 2wt% or less.
