To provide a garbage disposer the operation of which can be continued while keeping a catalyst at its activated temperature and keeping the deodorizing performance constant and the supply of power to which can be started again even when the garbage generating an intense heat in a deodorization vessel by a chemical reaction is fed in this garbage disposer.
An air sending means 15 and a heating means 14 are started when the predetermined time (t4) passes since a deodorization vessel temperature sensor A17c detects the predetermined temperature (T1). When the deodorization vessel temperature sensor A17c detects the predetermined temperature (T3), a catalyst heating heater 17a is turned OFF so that the temperature in the deodorization vessel 17 is lowered while operating the air sending means 15 and the heating means 14 continuously. When the temperature in the deodorization vessel 17 descends to the predetermined temperature (T2), the catalyst heating heater 17a is turned ON again. When the temperature of the deodorization vessel temperature sensor A17c exceeds the predetermined temperature (T3) predetermined number of times by repeating the ON-OFF of the catalyst heating heater 17a, the catalyst heating heater 17a, the heating means 14 and an electric motor 9 are stopped. When a fixed time (td1) passes after that, the air sending means 15 is stopped.
