To provide a golf ball excellent in low-temperature durability.
In a golf ball having a core 1 of one layer or more and a cover 2 of one layer or more, the base resin of the outermost layer of the cover 2 is formed of a mixture of 80-95wt.% of a methacrylic acid or acrylic acid ionomer of alkali metal ion or zinc ion neutralized type having a hardness of 60-68 by Shore D hardness and 5-20wt.% of a linear low density polyethylene having a Shore D hardness of 57-63. In the mixing thereof, the ionomer and the linear low density polyethylene are selected to that the hardness difference by subtracting the hardness of the linear low density polyethylene from the hardness of the ionomer is 8 or lower by Shore D hardness. The outermost layer of the cover 2 is molded, the surface is preferably polished by a ball mill or vibration barrel.
