Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat pump water heater which appropriately performs a circulation operation even when detecting such a condition that the level of water in a hot water storage tank is lowered because supply water pressure is not applied.SOLUTION: A heat pump water heater includes: a circulation pump 17 which heats hot water taken out from the lower part of a hot water storage tank 10 by a boiling-up operation with a heating means 2 to circulate the hot water to the upper part of the hot water storage tank 10; hot water storage temperature sensors 22 which are mounted on the hot water storage tank 10 and detect temperatures at a plurality of positions different in a vertical direction of the hot water stored in the hot water storage tank 10; and a control part which determines that the boiling-up operation is in an abnormal condition if the temperature of the lower side of the hot water storage tank 10 detected by the hot water storage temperature sensors 22 is higher than the temperature at the upper side of the hot water storage tank when performing the boiling-up operation of the hot water in the hot water storage tank 10, and controls the circulation pump 17 so that a circulating flow rate by the circulation pump 17 becomes larger than that in a condition before determining the boiling-up operation to be in the abnormal condition.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
