Title:
HEAT SHRINKABLE FILM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH11269282
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a heat shrinkable film suitable for food packaging, cap sealing, various kinds of labels or the like and capable of attaining the thinning effect of the film and dimensional stability at the same time.

The heat shrinkable film is obtained by orienting a block copolymer composition which comprises (I) a block copolymer having a plastic polymer segment and an elastomeric polymer segment, containing a vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon and a conjugated diene in a weight ratio of 65/35-90/10 and having a peak temperature of tan δ of 75-120°C and (II) a non-rubber modified styrene polymer having a peak temperature of tan δ of 100-135°C and which has a peak temperature of tan δ of 3-30°C lower than that of the non-rubber modified styrene polymer, wherein the film has a degree of heat shrinkage of 18-80% at 80°C in the direction of orientation, a degree of natural shrinkage of 0-3.0%, and a tensile modulus of elasticity in the direction of orientation of 7,000-30,000 kg/cm2.
