Abstract:
PURPOSE: To easily obtain a spinel type ferrite material and a magnetoplumbite type ferritic material excellent in characteristics at a low cost of production by using a mixture material contg. metal chlorides and metal oxides as starting material and carrying out a roasting process under specified conditions.
CONSTITUTION: A material mixture contg. one or more kinds of metal chlorides such as FeCl2.H2O and one or more kinds of metal oxides such as Fe2O3 preferably in a molar ratio of 99:1 to 30:70 is used as starting material and roasted. At least part of the roasting process is carried out in a steam-contg. atmosphere so that the starting material is brought into a solid phase reaction as well as a thermal decomposition reaction.
