Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a printing plate produced by a silver salt diffusion transfer method using an image forming element and to provide a printing plate having such improved printing property that the number of copies as wastes in the initial stage of a printing process can be decreased.
CONSTITUTION: This image forming element has a photosensitive layer containing a silver halide emulsion and an image accepting layer containing physical developing nuclei, and these layers are formed in this order on a base body. The base body consists of a polyester film having 0.1 to 0.35 mm thickness and at least 4300 N/mm2 Young's modulus.
