Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the occurrence of unbalanced gray balance by converting gradation of gradation color data of achromatic pixels even after the gradation conversion in the case of applying gradation conversion to number of gradation of the gradation color data.
SOLUTION: Upon the receipt of image data in the image processing executed by a computer 21 constituting this image processor 20, the computer 21 applies preliminary gradation conversion to the data from RGB256-gradation into RGB 17-gradation, references a color conversion table to apply color conversion to the data from RGB 17-gradation into CMYK 2-gradation and outputs image data with the CMYK 2-gradation to an ink jet printer 31. In this case, in the preliminary gradation conversion processing to be executed, not only the gradation conversion processing from 256-gradation into 17-gradation is executed but also achromatic image data before the conversion are achromatic image data even after the conversion without fail.
