Abstract:
To improve throughput of reading operation.
In an image reading apparatus comprising an image reading section which reads the image of a document while relatively moving a sensor unit and the document and outputs data and a controller which controls the image reading section and buffers in a memory data outputted from the image reading section, the controller changes a speed of relative movement of the sensor unit and the document based on the amount of data buffered in the memory.
