To provide an imaging system which improves the balance of quantities of light passing through polarization filters which transmit light in polarization states different from each other.
The imaging system includes: a polarization filter part having a plurality of first polarization filters to transmit polarized light in a specific polarization state possessed by light from an object and a plurality of second polarization filters to transmit light in a polarization state different from the specific polarization states; and imaging devices having a plurality of pixels to respectively receive light passed each of the plurality of polarization filters and light passed each of the second polarization filters. The total area of the plurality of first polarization filters is smaller than the total area of the plurality of second polarization filters.
