Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus capable of reducing the occurrence of jitter in a model fitting in which point clusters are reduced.SOLUTION: An information processing apparatus 100 includes an object detection unit (123) for detecting an object (for example, a hand of a user) existing in a three-dimensional operation space based on a plurality of imaging results obtained by imaging the space in time sequence and a point cluster acquisition unit (124) for acquiring a plurality of three dimensional point clusters indicating a surface of the object as a first point cluster. The information processing apparatus further includes a model fitting unit (125) for performing a model fitting of a predetermined three-dimensional shape model with respect to a second point cluster which is a plurality of three-dimensional point clusters generated based on at least a part of the first point cluster, and, when the model fitting of the three-dimensional shape model based on the preceding imaging result has already been performed, the point cluster acquisition unit (124) for generating the second point cluster based on at least a part of the second point cluster used for the fitting and at least a part of the first point cluster acquired from the imaging result.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
