Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet printer capable of suppressing occurrence of the vibration arising from the movement of a carriage and capable of moving a carriage stably to improve the image quality.SOLUTION: Main rails 15, sub rails 16, a carriage 17, and a recording head are comprised. The carriage 17 is composed of a first portion 17A for accommodating the recording head and a second portion 17B extending from the upper end of the first portion toward the rear side of the ink jet printer. A first assembling structure portion 51 for assembling the carriage 17 to the main rails 15 is provided on the back side of the first portion and a second assembling structure portion 52 for assembling the carriage 17 to the sub rails 16 is provided on the lower face of said second portion. In the first and second assembling structure portions, a supporting portion for supporting the carriage 17 is urged toward the main rails 15 and the sub rails 16 with the urging members 55 and 58.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
