To provide an intermediate transfer body which is excellent in flexibility and toner releasability, achieves high transfer rate regardless of a transfer medium, and stably maintains a long term high quality image which is sustainable for a long period of time, and to provide an image forming device including the intermediate transfer body.
A toner image obtained by developing a latent image formed on an image carrier with toner is transferred to the intermediate transfer body, and the transferred toner image is transferred to a recording medium. On the intermediate transfer body, an elastic layer formed on a base layer and having an elastic body, a particle layer in which independent spherical particles are arranged in an in-plane direction to form a concavo-convex shape, and a coating layer for coating the particle layer with resin are sequentially laminated. The image forming device incorporated with the intermediate transfer body is also provided.
