PURPOSE: To enhance the sentence formation efficiency through the kana (Japanese syllabary)-Chinese character conversion by giving a singular conversion to the words used once and thus omitting the selection action in case the same set of the homonyms emerges.
CONSTITUTION: The kana input row supplied through the keyboard is converted into the Chinese character through kana-Chinese character conversion part 1. Thus the homonyms are put in parentheses at display part 3 for display. The operator decides the correct homonym and then gives an indication at homonym selection part 7 to secure the singular conversion result. In this case, the selection result is written into homonym selection memory part 5 for memorization. Then in case the similar kana is supplied, homonym decision part 2 sends the homonym to homonym collation part 4 to give a collation with that selected at part 7 and memorized in part 5. Thus part 4 sends the Chinese character decided singularly to display part 8.
