Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To oppose horizontal force by raising an existing building up to a necessary height by taking reaction to a temporarily constructed frame through suspending materials, arranging a stand between the existing building and a ground side footing, and supporting the existing building through this stand.
SOLUTION: A temporarily constructed frame 2 is constructed in a condition of striding over its upper part from the periphery of an existing building 1, and suspending materials 4 are suspended by lower parts of rising jacks 3 arranged in its upper part (a), and its lower ends are connected to a lower part of the existing building 1. After preparation for necessary lift-up is completed, the suspending materials 4 are pulled up by driving the rising jacks 3, and the existing building 1 is raised. At this time, a condition of being connected onto a temporarily constructed footing 9 through a temporarily constructed stand 10 is held. After raising work and assembling of the temporarily constructed stand 10, improving work is performed in a lower space of the existing building 1 after the suspending materials 4 are locked on rising positions. A base isolation footing 11 and base isolation dampers 12 are constructed and arranged in this work. Connecting work of the existing building 1 and a base isolation structure body is completed, and when the existing building 1 becomes self-sustainable, the suspending materials 4 are removed from the existing building 1.
