To provide a linear motor elevator device for a connecting bridge which is simplified in the whole composition, and is easily practicable in rescue and maintenance-inspection in the case of abnormal stopping.

Elevator cages 1a, 1b are severally provided on a platform 4a on the side of a station building and elevator entrance pathes 3a, 3b on a platform on the side of an island, and a connecting bridge is laidly provided with linear motor fixing sections 20, 21 having the same length as the ascent and descent process of the elevator cage and a traverse moving truck 22 for loading a linear motor moving section 25 opposite to the linear motor fixing section, and the traverse moving truck 24 and the elevator cages 1a, 1b are mutually connected by elevator ropes 22, 23, and the cages 1a, 1b are made to alternately ascend and descend.
