To provide a liquid crystal lens capable of making a device small-sized and light-weight and emitting incident light in the optical axis direction, and in a direction other than the optical axis direction, and to provide a photographic device which is made small-sized and light-weight and can vary the irradiation position and the irradiation angle of auxiliary light.
The liquid crystal lens includes transparent electrodes 34 and 35, comprising a plurality of two-dimensionally divided liquid crystal pixels 34a and 35a; a transparent XY address selection part 38, comprising an X-direction selection circuit 38_1 and a Y-direction selection circuit 38_2; and a transparent XY address selection part 39, comprising an X-direction selection circuit 39_1 and a Y-direction selection circuit 39_2. The transparent XY address selection parts 38 and 39, successively will select only a part of the plurality of liquid crystal pixel cells 34a and 35a simultaneously and control the voltage application to selected liquid crystal pixels 34a and 35a, and refractive index distributions to transmission light are formed on transparent electrodes 34 and 35.
