Abstract:
PURPOSE:To position a magnetic head at high speed and with high accuracy. CONSTITUTION:At the seek operation of a head 30A, a CPU 33 changes over heads 30A to 30D sequentially, detects servo information and obtains information on the position of the head 30A. When a data is written and read out by using the head 30A, the CPU changes over the heads 30B to 30D sequentially, detects servo information and performs the positioning control operation of the head 30A with reference to a target track.
