Abstract:
To provide a magnetization device of magnetic encoder which allows for magnetization without affecting the surroundings and without bending a magnetization pattern, while preventing a drop in magnetization pitch accuracy.SOLUTION: A magnetization device for obtaining a magnetic encoder in which a magnetic track, where N poles and S poles are arranged in a prescribed magnetization pattern, is formed by magnetizing an unmagnetized magnetization surface of a magnetized body includes a conductor through which a magnetization current is fed, and a magnetization yoke having an apical surface in which a groove receiving a part of the conductor is formed, and where the groove becomes the direction in the border line of the N pole and S pole in magnetic track, and the magnetized body is placed so that the apical surface opposes the unmagnetized magnetization surface. A part of the portion of the conductor, continuous to a magnetization power supply extending from both ends of a portion placed in the groove of the apical surface of the magnetization yoke, elongates while bending at substantially right angle to the side separating from the magnetized body, and the width of the apical surface is less than the width of a pair of the N pole and S pole.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
