Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance degress of freedom in the design for a current-collecting part in the case of an electrode for use in a battery, in which a multiplicity of pole plates are integrated via a strap and which has the current-collecting part provided on the strap.
SOLUTION: In this manufacturing method, a pole column for forming a current-collecting part is prepared having a fusion part comprising a metal, which is similar in chemical characteristics to a metal constituting pole plates and a strap and can be fused when heated. Next, a strap-molding form is prepared having a molding die for molding the strap and a pole column disposition part, which is provided in series with the molding box and used for disposing the pole column. The pole column is disposed in the pole column disposition part, such that the fusion part is disposed on the molding box side and the fusion part of the pole column disposed in the pole column disposition part is heated. Next, the fused substance of the metal for forming the strap is injected into the molding box of the strap molding die, and part of the multiplicity of pole plates are immersed in the fused substance of the metal injected into the molding box.
