PURPOSE: To improve the heat deformation resistance of a disk by crosslinking the thermoplastic resin which is to be crosslinked by the irradiation of radiation ray, after said resin has been press-formed.
CONSTITUTION: The thermo-plastic resin having excellent transferring property in a pit or a guiding groove, the high permeability of ray and the active radical (epoxy radical, chloromethyl radical, brommethyl radical, etc.) generating crosslinking reaction by the radiation of radioactive ray, is press-formed. Radioactive ray is radiated on the obtained disk base, and its resin crosslinking is achieved. The photodisk excellent in photocharacteristic, heat resistance, thickness accuracy, signal transferring property and dimension accuracy may be effectively obtained.
