To provide a manufacturing method for a conductive roller which can uniformly knead materials while suppressing foreign objects from being mixed in, can manufacture a uniform conductive elastic layer with a good working efficiency at a low cost, can prevent materials from splashing when being input in a kneader, and is preferable from the viewpoints of industrial hygiene and environment protection.
This conductive roller is manufactured by molding a conductive elastic layer in such a manner that on the outer periphery of a conductive shaft body, a conductive elastic layer material is kneaded by using a kneader, and cured. When the conductive roller is manufactured, a part of the conductive elastic layer material is enclosed in an inputting bag, and is input in the kneader. In this case, the inputting bag is made of a film consisting of a thermoplastic resin, and having a thickness in a range from 30 μm to 100 μm. The thermoplastic resin has a melting point in a range from 60°C to 120°C, can be molten at the time of kneading of the conductive elastic layer material, and also, can be sulfur-crosslinked at the time of curing of the conductive elastic layer material.
