A manufacturing method of an organic EL display device 1 includes at least the steps of: forming a charge injection transport layer composed of a charge injection transporting material on a first pixel electrode and a second pixel electrode formed on a substrate using a good adhesion formation method; forming a first organic EL layer on the charge injection transport layer; removing the first organic EL layer provided on at least the second pixel electrode by processing the first organic EL layer; removing at least a part of the charge injection transport layer provided on the second pixel electrode; forming a second organic EL layer 25 on the second pixel electrode; and forming a counter electrode 26 common to a first pixel 2a and a second pixel 2b.
